Thank you Indienomicon community for your Mega impact!

1 Million Cups at Mega Jam

A bright spark of last week involved connecting with the Indienomicon community for their first Mega meetup event for Orlando. Hosted at the amazing Melrose Center Library makerspace on March 1st, the community came together to shine a light on technology ecosystem growth, thought leaders, new startups, and learning. When I attended the event, I expected content to focus on the simulation training and gaming industry. In addition to that, the Indienomicon foundation brought together technology artists, game designers, developers, product leaders, founders, and startup ecosystem builders. I sincerely appreciated the opportunity to connect with like minded individuals across disciplines. The event was very friendly to early stage developers or the technology curious.

The meetup was made possible by several meetups pooling their passion and resources to form this Mega meetup. It felt like a voltron moment.

Some of the meetups and organizations included the following.

This list above is not comprehensive of the community organizations that contributed to the event. The pure diversity of content was great. We learned about topics ranging from digital fabrication, Web3 and crypto, XR, public speaking, career development, AI and more. Excited to learn about the new XR developments from Danny Tapia and AWE Nite Orlando | Meetup.

Our GDG community contributed a fun talk exploring AI’s impact on software engineering focusing on project planning and project testing. It’s really amazing to see how AI tools can help us improve our capabilities as computer consultants and explore the vision of a project. It was also great to connect with community members who felt that our work in AI should focus on fostering human opportunity and augmenting human creativity. Looking forward to sharing this talk more.

It’s amazing to see Orlando’s technology accelerator scene expand. We’re already such big fans of the community growth work of Black Tech Orlando. They are a group super focused on impact and sharing great coaching. Through a new venture called Kofound.co, they have established a new technology accelerator helping founders go from idea to market.

Speaking of practical AI, I wanted to give a shout out to one more startup that seemed cool. AIAR is an AI-powered accelerator designed to rapidly transform business ideas into revenue-generating ventures within 90 days. It focuses on providing clarity, validation, and a market-ready MVP through AI assistance. Essentially, AIAR acts as an “AI Co-Pilot” for entrepreneurs, accelerating their path to startup success.

Thank you Isabella Johnston, Kunal Patel, and team Indienomicon for making Orlando more awesome through your outreach. We appreciate your servant leadership here!
