Dropping a BEAT with Angular, Ruby and JavaScript [Meetup]

Music Jam

In this Google developer group workshop, we’ll explore open-source tools for making music with JavaScript and Ruby. We’ll explore ways to generate music using chord progressions, NodeJs, TypeScript, and JsMidi by Dave Ingram. We’ll also demo some Angular UX for creating and playing drum patterns. There’s tons of interesting experiments in open source around computational music generation. We’ll sample a few tools including Sonic Pi by Sam Aaron and AI efforts by the Google Majenta project. If you enjoy exploring the intersection of art, music, and code, we hope you enjoy this talk. Join us for food, fun, and fellowship. Hope to see you there!
